It has taken shape between Bruc barracks and former technical schools as an expanding of the educational infrastructure of these and all the UPC. A mesh of PB+2 blocks should form a network of buildings separated by small steps, as in small urban centers of municipalities in the suburbs. Outdoor relationship spaces sprang such as little squares removing some of the blocks, and the organization of them should obey some order imposed by the set, for example, the absence of porches. The second phase resolves the remaining space of this framework by the particular volumetric definition of a few bodies.
Office Building of the School of Telecommunications Block B3 North Campus of the UPC · Victor Rahola, 1989-1993 · The block is placed in one of the organization intermediate lanes of the North Campus, where a succession of three squares breaks the east-west orientation of the remaining blocks. The gap between the above street and the square is used to organize the program: on the ground floor (two floors above the level of the square) is placed the reception; at the first floor, several classrooms and offices, at the second floor, the management office; at the first basement, the computation center, and at the second basement, the bar, with direct access from the square.
